Business Pro Phase 295

Provider Credential Custodian Role Boundary QA Gate

A provider credential custodian may later verify secret classes, vault ownership, rotation readiness, emergency revocation, signing boundaries, and access-audit evidence, but this route must not expose, rotate, activate, or use any real provider credential.

Secrets

Runtime

Phase rule

Credential custody protects secrets, not partner runtime

Phase 295 designs the Provider Credential Custodian role boundary QA gate only. It records whether a future credential-custody route clearly separates provider credential inventory evidence, secret classification evidence, vault dependency, rotation dependency, emergency revoke dependency, callback-signing dependency, certificate dependency, sandbox credential evidence, production credential evidence, least-privilege evidence, break-glass evidence, dual-control evidence, credential-access audit evidence, licensed partner dependency, security dependency, compliance dependency, legal dependency, payment-ops dependency, wallet-ops dependency, bank-ops dependency, and webhook security dependency. It does not create a credential custodian account, approve a custodian, reveal API keys, reveal client secrets, reveal certificates, reveal signing keys, reveal webhook secrets, reveal callback signatures, reveal bearer tokens, rotate credentials, revoke credentials, activate credentials, open provider console, switch sandbox to production, execute partner API calls, approve payment runtime, approve wallet runtime, approve bank runtime, or claim Provider Credential Custodian runtime readiness. No real contact, CRM task, account creation, onboarding approval, listing activation, order, payment, wallet, commission, ledger, export, or partner sync is created in this phase.

Credential proof

What Provider Credential Custodian boundary QA must capture

Evidence chain

The credential custodian packet must reference Phase 294 Licensed Partner Operations boundary, Phase 293 Wallet Operations boundary, Phase 292 Bank Operations boundary, Phase 291 Cash Custody boundary, Phase 290 Treasury Officer boundary, Phase 289 Ledger Controller boundary, Phase 288 Reconciliation Officer boundary, Phase 287 Settlement Officer boundary, Phase 286 Payment Operations boundary, Phase 285 Finance Officer boundary, Phase 284 Legal Counsel boundary, Phase 283 Compliance Officer boundary, Phase 282 Auditor boundary, Phase 281 Regulator boundary, Phase 280 Partner boundary, Phase 277 Admin boundary, and Phase 264 role-routing evidence.

Secret classes

The route must distinguish API key, client secret, certificate, private key, signing key, webhook secret, callback signature rule, OAuth token, refresh token, bearer token, OTP provider secret, SMS provider key, storage key, map key, and production console password without showing their values.

Environment boundary

Sandbox credentials, staging credentials, demo credentials, production credentials, test callbacks, mock callbacks, live callbacks, and migration credentials must never be merged into one visible value or treated as interchangeable.

Vault boundary

Credential storage must be described as vault-managed dependency only; no credential value, provider secret, private key, token, certificate material, seed phrase, password, or dashboard secret may exist in page data, source code, screenshots, or static output.

Access boundary

Credential access must require least privilege, role scope, dual control, maker-checker approval, audit logging, time-bound access, reason capture, and post-access review before any runtime is built.

Rotation boundary

Rotation, revocation, renewal, certificate rollover, key rollover, token refresh, partner secret replacement, and emergency disable must be review-only and never one-click runtime actions in this route.

Partner boundary

Licensed partner operations can identify that a credential is required, but credential custody must own secret handling, access proof, redaction proof, and rotation proof.

Webhook boundary

Webhook secrets, callback signing keys, signature algorithms, nonce rules, timestamp windows, replay windows, and callback verification must move into Phase 296 rather than being trusted in this gate.

Credential controls

How provider credential custody stays secret-safe

1Provider Credential Custodian role QA must not click credential dashboard, approve custodian, reveal API keys, reveal client secrets, reveal certificates, reveal signing keys, reveal webhook secrets, reveal callback signatures, reveal tokens, rotate credentials, revoke credentials, activate credentials, open provider console, switch sandbox to production, execute API calls, approve payment runtime, approve wallet runtime, approve bank runtime, or activate Business Pro controls.
2Credential route must not treat environment variables, .env files, screenshots, pasted partner emails, support tickets, WhatsApp messages, PDFs, spreadsheets, terminal output, logs, callback payloads, provider docs, or browser local storage as safe credential storage or evidence of custody.
3Secret values must not be placed in React props, static page data, public bundles, screenshots, localStorage, sessionStorage, cookies without approved flags, Git files, demo seed files, fixture files, analytics events, support notes, exported reports, or audit screenshots.
4Credential metadata may show alias, provider, environment, scope, owner role, vault reference, expiry window, rotation state, last audit state, and risk label only when the value remains masked and backend permissions later enforce access.
5Emergency break-glass must be dual-control, time-boxed, reason-coded, audit-logged, post-reviewed, and revocable; this route can describe the gate but cannot execute the access.
6Safe credential custody routing does not prove vault runtime, secret manager integration, provider integration, callback verification, API execution, production readiness, payment readiness, wallet readiness, bank readiness, or public upload readiness.
